Premier + TradesField
Verified subcontractors in Premier before your accounts team needs them.
Approve a vendor in TradesField and their AP Vendor record lands in Premier ready to transact: verified ABN, bank account, contacts and a compliance record for every insurance, created within seconds. Certificates and documents attach a moment later. As cover expires or a licence reference changes in TradesField, the matching Premier compliance record updates, so your accounts team is never paying off a stale date. Vendors link by Vendor Code, so an AP Vendor that already exists is matched, never duplicated.
How it works
Approval in TradesField is the trigger. From there, the AP Vendor is built in Premier and kept current.
- 1
A vendor is approved in TradesField
The moment their identity, insurances and bank details are verified.
- 2
An AP Vendor is created in Premier
With verified ABN, bank account, address and contacts, in the Premier company your reviewer picks.
- 3
Documents and compliance follow
Certificates and a compliance record per insurance type attach a moment later as background tasks, typically within seconds.
- 4
Compliance stays in sync
When an expiry date or licence reference changes in TradesField, the matching Premier compliance record updates, so no one works from stale dates.
- 5
Existing vendors are matched, not duplicated
Vendors link by Vendor Code. A previously synced vendor is pre-filled at approval; an AP Vendor that already exists in Premier is linked by entering its Vendor Code.
At approval your reviewer sets the Premier Company, Vendor Code, Purchase Category, Tax Group and Payment Term, so the vendor is created with the right settings.
Why connect Premier to TradesField
Verified once, created in Premier, and kept current. What your accounts team gets out of the box.
- No double entry
Vendor details are entered and verified once in TradesField, then created in Premier. No retyping, no transposed bank accounts.
- Compliance stays current
Insurance expiries and licence references sync to the matching Premier compliance records, so your accounts team is never paying off a stale date.
- Evidence travels with the record
Certificates of currency and supporting documents attach to the AP Vendor as attachments, a moment after it's created.
- No duplicates, ever
Vendors link by Vendor Code. An AP Vendor that already exists is matched and linked rather than created again.
- Credentials stay locked down
The dedicated Premier user's credentials are encrypted at rest and used only by TradesField's backend, never exposed to your team or browser.
- Right settings at creation
Company, Purchase Category, Tax Group and Payment Term are set at approval, so the AP Vendor is created ready to transact.
How to connect
Premier setup is the most hands-on of our integrations because it uses a dedicated Premier user rather than OAuth. Most customers are up and running in ten to fifteen minutes, walked through by our team or self-served from the admin integrations panel.
- 01Create a Premier user for TradesField
In Premier, create a user with the username tradesfield. Use an email you can receive login codes at. Assign a role that can view, create and edit vendors, and grant access to the companies you want synced.
- 02Verify the user can create vendors
Log in once as the new Premier user to complete any first-time verification steps Premier requires (for example, setting up multi-factor authentication). Then create a test AP Vendor to confirm the user can create vendors. If this user can't create a vendor in Premier, TradesField won't be able to either.
- 03Add the integration in TradesField
In the admin Integrations panel, choose Premier and paste the Client ID, Username and Password from the user you just created. Credentials are encrypted at rest and used only by TradesField's backend to authenticate with Premier.
- 04Test the connection
Click Test Integration. TradesField authenticates against Premier with the credentials you supplied before any vendor data is sent.
- 05Connect and import metadata
Click Connect Integration. TradesField imports your organisation IDs, purchase categories and other Premier metadata, so your reviewer's approval fields show real values.
- 06Run a test submission
Send an onboarding invite to yourself, submit demo details, and approve the submission. The five Premier fields appear at approval, confirming the integration is live.
FAQ
Common questions.
The four questions that come up most often around Jonas Premier.
See all questionsYes. TradesField signs in to Premier as a dedicated user (we recommend the username 'tradesfield') to create and update vendors. The user consumes a Premier seat while a sync is running, then signs out. Whether this requires you to purchase an additional Premier licence depends on your current seat allocation — many customers use a spare seat already on their plan. We're happy to talk through the practical implications on your demo.
